I'd say Positive for a future residential infill development on the Southbank.
^ huh? the transportation management center is basically an office building, and will fit right in to the state complex....so I have no understanding how you think it will positively impact southbank residential....please explain
I think he means when the TPO vacates the building they are currently in, the parcel could be redevloped as in infill project.
ok...now I get it....doubt that becomes a residential parcel though....it is pretty small
I seem to remember another larger building on that same lot (on the corner of Prudential and Main) that was taken down a few years ago. Does anyone recall what that building was or why it was demolished?
As far back as the mid 70s the TPO (then JTA) was the only building in that side of the street. Several buildings on the north side of Prudential were torn down for the new Prudential building and garage.
Why the hey aren't they made to go up and integrate parking into the building versus have another huge surface lot downtown?
Because our zoning and building code favors surface lots ....plus without all that pavement what would be the justification for retention ponds??
