Title: Musings on Lack of Peacefulness and Religion
Post by: ronchamblin on August 24, 2013, 10:52:16 PM
Humanity to be peaceful?  Won't work.

We must feed the economy by meeting the needs of the military and the needs of war.  Extended peace will ruin our economy.  We need war... big ones..... little ones..... any size.  We need to use the bombs and airplanes and rockets and missiles and ships and subs.  We need enemies to ensure the wars continue.

Peace?  Never.  The arms manufacturing giants, and the big generals and politicians too... know that to be peaceful is to be poor..... is to stagnate in mediocrity.

Okay Ron.  In order to remain inside your view that humanity is beyond peace the simple thing for you to do is not to pray or meditate on humanity moving toward peace tomorrow. I kinda thought you would pass on the opportunity anyway. lol Those of us with hope, will carry on believing in a better world to come and as such will continue to believe that a less violent reality is attainable.

Friday night there was a church meeting of about 50 people in front of the BBVA Compass on Edgewood. I think it is great to see so many people coming together.

If I may ask, Ron what was this in response to? Or did you wake up this morning feeling the sudden need to question peace and humanity? I tend to feel that peace and economy go hand in hand as the only economy that perseveres under war is war industries.

Makes sense, and now after reading the other thread so does Ron's post. Thanks for clearing it up.
