Man, 18, Shot At Westside Apartment Complex

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- An 18-year-old man was taken to an area hospital Tuesday night after he was shot while at a Westside apartment complex.

Police tape surrounded the scene at the Eureka Garden Apartments on Labelle Street, where the shooting took place.

Officers told Channel 4 that someone shot the 18-year-old victim in the leg.

The victim was taken to Shands-Jacksonville Medical Center and is expected to recover from the injury.

A motive for the shooting has not yet been released.

No arrests have been made in this shooting.

So much for the anti crime program. I live a few blocks south of here. The police presense has really stepped up.

The only way this place will get cleaned up is if it is no longer a Section 8 complex.
