The BP station in Bayard took a hit from the 'heavy thunder storm' today. I was on the road, US-1 when cross winds just about flipped my car, as well as some others.  Having lived in Oklahoma I could take a hint from mother nature; I pulled over and bailed out. Up the road a bit there was this giant crash, as a microburst took out the pumps at the gas station, Old St. Augustine Road and Philips. The poor guy that was pumping gas wasn't hurt but he thought it was the end of the world. He is one VERY LUCKY person, probably a good night for him to play the lotto. Funny thing is that station hasn't been this busy in 30 years, everybody is there buying something as an excuse to see the damage. Had this weather phenomenon happened while your plane was landing at JIA, they'd be scooping you up with tea spoons and 'mayonnaise jars'. Note to self: NEXT TIME TAKE THE TRAIN!

It was crazy.  Anyone know the strengths of those gusts?
