Title: Qdoba Restaurant opening in Baymeadows
Post by: thelakelander on June 18, 2013, 08:18:20 AM
Don't put dirt on Baymeadows just yet. Another chain restaurant is on its way.

Qdoba will be opening a 110-seat restaurant at 8221 Southside Blvd (Deerwood Station) soon.  Here's a link to the plans:

A new BBQ place called 4 Rivers Smokehouse also opened up on Baymeadows- in the old Roadhouse behind Hardees.  The owner has 3 locations in Orlando but he is originally from Jacksonville from what I understand.  Went there on Friday and it was tasty.  http://4rsmokehouse.com/

^Wanted to try them out on Sunday but evidently they aren't open on Sundays.  Looking forward to trying them out. The parking lot has been packed the last week.

They (4Rivers) keep limited dinner hours as well - they wrap up @ 8 during the week & 9 on Fri & Sat.  Reviews seem to be great though.

A few of from work went to 4Rivers yesterday...Had the Burnt Ends sandwich for $6.99 and added 2 sides for $1.98.  Great bbq and different from some of the others we have in town.  They really focus on the Brisket and you can select which part of the brisket you want which is nice.
The Sweet Shop insidie is great too with tons of items you can buy.
I wonder if they will increase their hours any as they have been pretty packed.

Hmm, now I'm hungry and it's lunch time.  I think I know where I'm going now.

Yes. Ordered the Burnt Ends dinner plate (1/2 brisket, 1/2 pulled pork) with three sides (BBQ beans, fried okra, and mac & cheese). Filled me up for the rest of the day and wasn't really expensive ($11).  I'll definitely be back.
