Has anyone heard of some lawsuit decision yesterday against the city ? I heard a blip about it on one of the newstations but didnt catch the details.
No, what was the lawsuit about?
Well Laquidara had emailed Barton yesterday that the (xxx) case was done. I read that on the publicdocs email - and then 2 minutes later that and all Bartons emails were gone for everything 6-14 to now. so I didnt have a chance to read the details - but it was definately something to do with Baymeadows. Is there some reason some of the folders have up to date emails and others are a week behind ?
Then I heard a blurb from the tv last night - and couldn't get to it fast enough to hear either.
I finally found it -- talk about buried in the news....

Congrats to the city. I thought for sure they'd lose that one, based off the council's original support and zoning. Now it will be interesting to see what happens with the property.
My office is on the former 12th hole. Property is patch of weeds and with rains, high grass.
D.R Horton has just filed suit in St Johns county against the developer of Aberdeen, with the bottom falling out of the residential market im sure that the property is back in play. With current zoning the commercial areas could still be developed. The re-birth as a golf course is un-likely. This will be interesting to watch, property values have tumbled and crime/vandalism is rampant. Homeless love the woods and open areas. With no eye's to watch, many offices in the area have been broken into.
Still the location is prime.
