The filing attorney on behalf of the TU...George Gabel who has recently been battling it out with Mayor Brown regarding the river deepening. Looks like things are getting ugly in local politics.
The Concerned Taxpayers of Duval County filed a similar lawsuit alleging the Peyton administration did the same thing. I know it survived a challenge by the city saying it was baseless but haven't kept up since.
In short, nothing new.
I doubt the TU and this guy http://www.hklaw.com/George-Gabel/ waste their time filing baseless suits. The basis of the allegations are pretty serious too. Not just some "accidental" Sunshine violation.
maybe so, M. Gabel was also the attorney representing We Love Avondale against Mellow Mushroom
