Title: TORNADO - from the prairie
Post by: Ocklawaha on May 21, 2013, 01:03:28 PM
Here's an update on the Oklahoma tornado situation.

At this moment there is a tornado watch box and a very powerful storm closing in on Piedmont, El Reno, Richland, Cashion and Crescent Ok.. I was a city councilman in Cashion where we lived during the May 3, 1999 outbreak.

Another powerful storm moving NE from Wichita Falls Tx, has crossed the Red River and is headed for Norman, just south of Moore and home to OU.

My sons wife has been released from the hospital, her car totaled. They live on the south of Mustang, and the Moore Tornado yesterday skirted just to their south. As Kathy was returning from work a panicked lady hit her car while speeding (away?) from the storm.

Tornado on the ground? Severe rotation in Welty, OK at this moment with tell tale 2" diameter hail, this is a small town just south of Bristow, between OKC and Tulsa.

Wishing your family well during these times. Unbelievable Devestation. Just curious but I'd rather face a hurricane then a tornado is that part of the reason you are living here now?
