One of the seminal post punk pop bands of the 90s, Green Day reinvented their appeal in this century with the release of American Idiot. In 2009, this searing response to the Wars in the Middle East and the everyday lives of young Americans was translated onto the stage as a Musical that has turned into a bit of a juggernaut.
