Announced last week by DIA. Open to all except Intuition Ale House. The Intuition Ale House line is my personal comment. (Attempt at humor)
Is this HUGE announcement being reported anywhere? I've got my email in to Paul Crawford.
Noone,
Could you please elaborate?
I'm not sure if this is the same thing or not, but a week or so ago they issued a RFI of just "park activation". Nothing specific, just seeking people to activate the area cause they "understand it's vital importance to linking Bay street district to the sports area"
yes...that is the one...there will also be one for Hemming Plaza very soon
Hot dog carts all around.
I don't think that RFI was actually issued.
Okay, how about hot dog carts with trolley poles? I can see the TU headlines now...
'JACKSONVILLE GETS LONG AWAITED TROLLEY' ;)

Shipyards/Landmar 16 days left on the RFI.
JCCI, JAX VISION 2025. 5 hours out. Anyone going?
Shipyards/Landmar 13 days left on the RFI
A vital link, you mean they don't like it being a littered parking lot for Jaguars games?!! I am shocked! Any reason why they cannot RFP it for actual construction of whatever will go there? Isn't the housing and office markets rebounding?
9 days left for this RFI on Shipyards III
I've given up on asking you know who about you know what.
BOLD (Building Our Limitless Dream)
BOLD ( Building Our Local Divide)
Special shout out to FBI RICO interns that remain LOST
Tides are looking good to kayak and fish under the brand new No Fishing signs that was never before Waterways and make some NOISE at a Redneck kayak launch in a highly restricted DIA zone.
Vitti has VISION and I want more of that.
I am Downtown and why you aren't.
Two days out.

Noone,
Could you please elaborate?
Spence,
I'll try.
Let's remember the RAM dock is only open when RAM is open. Not Good.
Shipyards III. Two days left on the 30 day RFI #AD-0547-13 on Shipyards.
At the 5/3/13 DIA Downtown Experience subcommittee meeting of the DIA. I asked if anyone pulled up to the Public Floating dock at Shipyards could anyone use it and I was told by Tony Allegretti and Paul Crawford "NO." I'm sitting right next to Scott Wilson when I asked about this. Scott feel free to jump in. In my opinion the Floating Dock at Shipyards should be exempt from the RFI. This floating dock is the only opportunity to access this 40 acre Public space from the St. Johns River our American Heritage River a FEDERAL Initiative in our newly created DIA zone.
CG7 did you get a chance to see this for yourself after the JCCI Vision 2025 show? Would love to hear your thoughts.
Spence, The picking and choosing of the winners and losers is the real concern and threat and opportunity is not provided for all.
Oh and let's not forget the Jim Love, Kevin Kuzel, Berkman Floating Dock compromise misrepresented by OGC to Waterways during the 2013 FIND grant application process. Another positive game changer for Downtown.
Downtown Experience subcommittee meeting of the DIA today at 4 1st floor city hall. Will there be an agenda? Who is on the committee? Anyone going?
So who are the winners of the 30 day RFI?

Jacksonville Waterways Commission meeting today at 9:30 in council chambers. Don Redman has been reappointed to chair Waterways. Why?
There is tremendous power in the direction of opportunity that comes from the diverting of Funds for special interest groups.
Anybody care?
The village idiot redman should stick to bicycles and bibles..we wonder why this city is so fucked...decisions like putting him on a seat like that
^ clearly garden guy would be a big step up from CM Redman
Who gets the state of Florida RICO award for the Waterways for the circumventing of due process for immediate direct personal gain for Boards, Commissions, family, friends, in a multicounty conspiracy?
DIA committee meeting of the Downtown Experience just 3 hours out. Any clue at all to the new Waterways signage. Anyone? Pre Aundra Wallace.
Paul Astleford is a hero.
4 days out from the next DIA Board meeting. Anyone going? Will there be a presentation on the newest plan for the Shipyards for our DOWNTOWN INVESTMENT AUTHORITY? Backroom deals! Has anyone seen an agenda? Like the secret agenda item at the 12/11/13 Jacksonville Waterways Commission meeting.
But in all fairness remember that OED (Paul Crawford) had the DIA sign away there power to negotiate on Shipyards and 5 other projects before the start of the new guy Aundra Wallace. Jim Bailey was the only lone vote and he will no longer be on the 9 member DIA Board.

So who are the winners of the 30 day RFI?
Made a Scene Downtown today and one of the Shipyards Piers and it's the one next to Hogans Creek is just loaded with construction material.
Let's remember that at the end of a 3 hour DIA Board meeting OED had the DIA sign away their power to negotiate on 6 projects and Shipyards III is one of them. This was pre- Aundra Wallace. At the last DIA Board meeting the DIA Board wants the power back along with these 6 projects.
But in the meantime who will be the news organization that will break the biggest news story in Jacksonville? What is going on? Backroom Deals?
