I just got home to Baltimore from a weekend visit to Jacksonville. My aunt lives in Avondale, and we stayed in Riverside. But I had to comment when I recoginzed Harpoon Louie's - where we had lunch on our first day in town. I love this city - maybe one day I'll be a Jacksonvillian (is that what y'all are called?)

I lived on the block of Melrose Avenue and Herschel for 31 years.  (That's one block over from St. Johns Avenue).  Spent many a day walking past the Garden Shop and Fire Department building.  The fire department had a gold fish pond and we would feed them.  Had friends that lived on the corner of Fair and San Juan that was shown.  Really brings back memories.  I still have to drive down Melrose every once in a while to look at my old house and my grandparents house that is still there.  My grandfather worked the trolly for years before he bacame a Justice of the Peace.  Went to Fishwere Elementary and explored all the things shown on the video.
