Without the details this is like the question,

* should Jacksonville take $100 million for an elevated skyway?...........(that goes no where) (and you have to keep it running no matter what it cost or give back the money)
* should class sizes be limited to 20 students?.............(sounds good but cost more than the TOTAL budget for a year in Duval county.)
* when did you stop beating your wife?

.
What strings are attached to that money?.

That is a good question. I would say none. Not like the $800,000 Pottsberg Creek dredge. The Jacksonville Boat Ramp Master Plan would provide a solid foundation from which to move forward on. I have a call into my Dist. 4 councilman Don Redman. Let's hope that the administration and city council will get behind this positive benefit.

BRMP would set a more objective priorities and probably reduce spending on politically expedient, vs. actual need based projects.  Current proposal includes survey data of users and a goal of driving plan based on user needs.  Each year we commit to and spend at least a million dollars in this category, citizen focus needs to be more a part of how those dollars are spent.  Florida Inland Navigation District FIND money comes from taxes you pay as part of your property assessment.  So, the FIND matching dollars come from taxes you have already paid.

If Downtown is worth an independent authority and $19 Million, what is the river, waterways, beaches and access to them worth?  Consider we are working and spending money to "attract" people Downtown; access to waterways, we have more demand than can be accommodated.

Wanted to Bump this thread after attending today's DIA subcommittee meeting of the Downtown Experience committee that was chaired by Tony Allegretti and during Public comment it was requested that the DIA at the next full Board meeting will sponsor a resolution of support for the Boat Ramp Master Plan that is working its way through the legislative process by Jacksonville Waterways Commission member Scott Shine. Chairman Allegretti requested the 2002 plan for DIA Board members and Scott Wilson who was in attendance has advanced a copy to all.

This issue is time sensitive not only for the DIA but the full Jacksonville city council in order for it to be included in the 2013 FIND application package. This is a positive benefit for the people of Jacksonville.

6/26/13 Is the announcements of the 2013 Secret FIND list. The day after the 6/25/13 Jacksonville city council meeting and the Public Hearing on 2013-380 Boat Ramp Master Plan aka Maritime Mgmt Plan.

FBI RICO agents hope your not sitting in your comfy chairs as the Public Trust continues to be totally crushed in this community.

2012-402 The Jacksonville city council needs to move and vote on 2013-380 in the affirmative so that this can be added to the 2013 FIND grant application package. This requires the entire city council.

Governor Scott, and the commissioners of FIND representing the east coast of the state of Florida. Be concerned.

Positive benefit for the city of Jacksonville.
2013-380 on the agenda for a Public Hearing. As you can see from the pole and when this got started just two months ago you would believe that it should make the 2013 FIND grant application package.

The meeting started late because it was scheduled for the 1 st floor of city hall in council chambers but was moved to the 4th floor.

This FIND subcommittee is all about our ad valorem Property tax money and where it is getting spent.

This meeting was not about 2014-412 and the unauthorized purchase of two water taxis by the Executive Branch (Mayor) circumventing and defrauding the Legislative Branch ( Jacksonville city council) I will always feel sorry for the Baltimore guys.

This meeting was not about 2014-560 our CRA/DIA

This meeting was all about spending our ad volorem property tax money on projects. And we primarily went right down the Potential 2015 FIND Grant Projects from the Administration. Here are the top 5 that are moving forward.

Who deserves the world wide international recognition of being the RICOKEEPER? The next super duper Community First FIND subcommittee meeting of the great LOST is 1/9/15. Tom Ingram where are you? Where is the Florida Bar? The Public Trust just totally destroyed. Scott Wilson, Don Redman feel free to jump in here.

Gary Anderson the Chair of the secret FIND subcommittee of the Jacksonville Waterways Commission put me down for the world famous Jim Love, Kevin Kuzel, Capt. Vic Tison, Capt. Roger Bump 26' Berkman Floating dock compromise (Shipyards III) misrepresented by OGC to the Jacksonville Waterways Commission during the 2013 FIND grant application process. I will swear to that under oath in any court of law. It's Brilliant. Super props to Dist. 5 Jacksonville councilwoman Lori Boyer and a member of Waterways at the time and her OGC follow up on Catherine St. WOW! Very positive.
