Hello Paul,
It's been quite some time since we last spoke, I hope you are well. I read about this collaborative called "Healthbox" in today's Business Journal. They are looking for downtown space to house their program. I believe the Brewster Hospital would be perfect for this effort. I have contacted the Business Journal for contact information. I left a message for you to call when you can. Please take a look at the article and reach out to these folks. I think having them in the Brewster would be a blessing and far more desirable than having this beautiful structure sit unused. This effort is health based and that is what the Brewster nurses have always wanted.
On another note, of the 11 million the mayor found for downtown I wish to speak to the 2 million set aside for other potential uses. The entrances to the Brewster have never been completed nor has it been landscaped with parking added. I would like to see some of that two million used to accomplish this goal. Do you know I have spent over 10 year fighting this battle? It is long past time to finish off the outside of the building and have it occupied.

As it turns out Paul had already approached them about Brewster. He said the configuration of the building along with other issues did not meet their needs. Needless to say that is a disappointment but not the end of the story.
As far as the 2 million, I believe it was stated that the use for it would be open to the right project regardless of location. Tufsu, have you heard what sort of effort these funds are to be used for? I would be curious to see why this amount has been set aside.
