QuoteFanatics Inc. is shopping the commercial real estate market for 100,000 to 150,000 square feet of office space, according to sources.
Real estate sources, who asked not to be named because of the sensitivity of the deal, said the online retailer is considering both Downtown and suburban options and is interested in signage and naming rights.

Wow, I had no idea they were a company of that size.
They have been growing. A friend that works there says they just recently moved to an office over in Southpoint.
They aren't still over off of Edgewood?? Shame. Hopefully Steve congro can be an advocate for a downtown location.

The are still over there from understanding. I thought that was a store location and drove up only to notice it was their warehouse I believe. This was just a few months back
I believe they operate out of the old Winn-Dixie distribution center off Edgewood and Commonwealth.
So if they move into 'One Enterprise Center' can we then expect the City to hold the Parador Parking Garage developers feet in the fire and DEMAND the retail element? Be very cool to have the Fanatic's HQ on one side of the street and the official 'Fanatics Outlet Store' across the street.

They're out of room at the Commonwealth location from what I understand. The Southpoint office is just an addition.
This would be fantastic for downtown...I'd love to see the Fanatics logo at the top of One Enterprise.
My buddy works there. I think he told me that they're actually one of the largest sports team merchandise retailers in the country. He's constantly flying all over the place helping branches get set-up. They just don't operate under one store brand, so they don't have the same brand recognition as other stores. Something to that effect, but obviously they must be trying to change that.
So, for obvious reasons, I can't comment on Fanatics much (as it's my employer of 9+ years), but I'll give you some basic info. Yes, we are WAY bigger than people realize. Take a look at our corporate site, and some of the online sites we run at our corporate site:

As far as the current office space thing, we have two offices, one on the Westside attached to our Jacksonville DC, and one on the southside (call center and expansion).
That's really about all I can say, as I'm not a spokeperson for the company (and we are NOT publicly traded), but feel free to ask.
On a personal note, I'd certainly prefer to be downtown versus the burbs!

Fanatics doesn't have stores at the malls anymore.
I know some people that know the Trager family (founders of Fanatics) pretty well...who btw have to be pretty high on the wealthiest people in Jax list after selling the company. Heard they are more likely to move to the Southside than Downtown. Person I talked to said they didn't even think they are looking DT anymore. Anyone else hearing anything about this?
I think they'd prefer to have their HQ office joined with a large warehouse space. Might be limiting their options.
The old VW parts facility along Central Parkway, 120,000 sf was available. Something of that size is what they would look to move to, or even the northside, like Mercedes Benz did along airport road. Gotta go where there is space, could build their own, but with so much available still, easier to lease/buy than build.
Looking like a Southside move is likely.
QuoteA headquarters site search for Fanatics Inc., a Jacksonville-based online retailer of licensed sports merchandise, has been an industry topic for much of the year, and the latest speculation is that the former Comcast operations center in Southpoint is a possible location.
Sources, who asked not to be identified because of the sensitivity of the deal, say Fanatics might have settled on the vacant building for its headquarters and Fanatics administrative functions.
Corporate headquarters are targeted industries by the city and state, which typically offer economic incentives for such deals. Companies do not make final decisions on site locations until such incentives packages are approved.
City and state communications representatives were not immediately available for comment about Fanatics.
A Fanatics spokesman did not return calls for comment.
The almost 120,000-square-foot building at 6805 Southpoint Parkway is shown on loopnet.com as an "excellent location in a class A development" to make an "ideal telemarketing/financial services center."

None of the sites mentioned have adjacent warehouse space.
