Definitely agree that the kiss cam "homophobic joke" (showing two guys next to each other as a joke while everyone begs them not to kiss) is somewhat insensitive. The kiss cam itself is incredibly tired, but if it's going to stick around, I would love to see teams actively seek out gay couples for (willing) participation, provided security kept an eye on them afterwards (we're not there yet in the tolerance department, particular with a drunken sports crowd).
He's totally right. The "kiss cam" is lame. Gay jokes are even more lame. Combined, the situation is unforgivably lame. Pull this on up by the roots, Mr. Kahn.
If everyone was doing the "wave" as they should be then there would be no time for kiss cam.
I had no idea this exisited and I go to every game.. I never seen this? Maybe I was depressed because we were losing and didnt notice. I thought it was some type of joke when I seen it on Big Cat Country because you cant take all of their articles seriously. I really never heard of this. So with that being said, its really not that damn important. If its stopped, it wont be missed.
Kiss cams are at almost every major sporting event. Not unique to jacksonville. When i had Braves season tickets they had it there too.
I think kiss cams are a form of discrimination against the lonely and undateable.
