To my friends at Metrojacksonville and those who read the site, I want to point out that this is "National Women's Day". I am going to ask you to step away from your daily distractions a moment to think about and reflect upon the role women play in your own life and in world society. Think about the struggles women face each day on this planet. While women's rights in this country seem to be a done deal, there is still much work to before us all to reach true equality. Remember that women have only had the right to vote in this country for less than a century. In countries around the world not only do some not have the right to vote, they are not even considered full human beings in the eyes of men. So please take a moment to think about this and honor the roll of women on this earth. It is through a woman you are here. :)
