Title: Couponing for Charity
Post by: JaxNole on December 16, 2012, 08:34:58 AM
Are you a fan of TLC's "Extreme Couponing" or at least one to use coupons with sales to reduce your grocery spending? Even if not, you can become involved with Shopping for Charity: Jacksonville, which focuses on shopping for the various nonprofits that serve our community, including:
We are currently in the middle of a campaign for The Clara White Mission.

The Mission needs the following items for the homeless and veterans enrolled in its training programs and/or transitional housing: travel-sized hygiene items (shampoo, conditioner, soap), laundry detergent, paper products (bathroom tissue, paper towels).

Always accepted are food items for the daily feeding program.

If anyone has connections to corporate giving for hotels (IHG, Marriott, Hilton, Starwood) for toiletries, dentists (toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, mouthwash), and places of worship for food and paper products, please ask them to visit Shopping for Charity: Jacksonville's page and consider donating.

Here is the beginning of our donation, with more on the way. Each of those 25 hotel shampoo bottles could easily yield 5 uses.
