For those who may not be aware, former City of Jacksonville Planning director Bill Killingsworth will soon be leaving Jacksonville to continue his planning career in another Florida community. During Killingsworth's brief tenure as director, he helped implement several public policy changes that will advance the quality-of-living in Jacksonville. From the 2030 Mobility Plan and San Marco By Design, to historic preservation mothballing policies in Springfield, Killingsworth has set in motion a chain of fiscally sustainable events that will really make Jacksonville a destination and not a pass through. With this in mind, all Metro Jacksonville readers are invited to an appreciation reception honoring his service to the City of Jacksonville.
