Today is the first-ever #GivingTuesday (www.givingtuesday.org), a national day of giving that encourages individuals, families, and businesses to volunteer and donate to the many wonderful nonprofit organizations that impact our economy and quality of life.
One great way to participate in Northeast Florida is to visit www.WeGive.org where more than 100 local nonprofits in Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau, and St. Johns counties have posted projects for funding needs. You'll see specific and tangible ways you can help ranging from new choir uniforms for the children's chorus, building materials for a new shelter for an endangered owl, paint for a historic building, or heaters for seniors. WeGive.org provides the opportunity to find a project that matches your passion and see exactly how your dollar will help! WeGive.org has raised over $55,000 for local nonprofits!
