Just a random poll concerning the Jags new unis. Maybe I should have done this in week 1, and not wait so late. I picked option three BTW.
They look like leotards! (The font used on the numbers looks stupid, too)
The teal is real! The black is ... AACK! :P
I'm looking forward to see how Nike changes them next year. I've purposely haven't bought a Jags jersey because I know these will be phased out soon. I don't think anyone will really miss the current ones though. They aren't terrible but they definitely aren't great either. I'd still like something crazy from Nike like Oregon's college uniforms.

I totally agree.
Well I havent judged them because they arent the "new" uniforms. They are getting the actual new uniforms next season. Thats what Im waiting. But the temporarys are decent. They are very clean. Nothing to fancy, but not ugly either
I was never a huge fan of the teal/black/gold color scheme, but aside from that, I think I prefer the earlier ones - the ones the team had around the late 90s or early 2000s (I think - I can't remember when it was exactly). I liked the ones that had a jaguar on the sleeve.
I appreciate the move towards black as a primary color - it's a way to keep with one of the franchise's main colors, yet escape the very 90s color scheme the team has unfortunately saddled itself with. I've often wondered if there will be a major redesign in the works at some point in the future (like whether next year's new unis include a total re-branding like what happened in Tampa). Who knows.
That said, the I wasn't too crazy about the piping or whatever you call it on the current jerseys. I thought it was pretty ugly when they brought those out and was disappointed to see Nike keep it.
As a general rule, I prefer football uniforms that have a more 'traditional' look. Things seems to be moving more in that direction these days, so maybe the Jags will get something classic and stylish.
Hate the black uniforms
The teal is real.
My neighbor will now have to repaint his house.
I don't really care what they wear. Are you seriously that concerned with the Jags color coordination? OMG gurl did you see what they are wearing?

Caring about what a football team is wearing matters about as much as giving a crap about the accomplishments of a random bunch of rich guys playing a sport that have basically nothing to do with you and living vicariously through their achievements.
Yet we all do it (and yes, I include myself in that "we").
So, it's been about two years and I still don't like the two tone helmets. Much prefer the all black ones, matted or glossed really. Just not...gold and black.
Is there any moment or hope of the Jags changing it back? Since we haven't won over 4 games in 3 seasons at least give us our traditional helmet colors back. If they change the helmets back, we'll make it to the Superbowl. Guaranteed. It will solve everything.
I'm still not a big fan of the helmets either but I don't dislike them like i use to. I just not a fan of the two tone being down the middle of the logo, leaving the front black and the back gold while seeming to split the jaguar head in half. I do think it be cool though if the two tone was splitting the helmet into left and right sides, with the jaguar head logo on the black half and black jaguar lettering on the gold half. Throw a thin teal stripe between the two and I'd be over the moon
I believe the cartoon character mascot on the helmets and logo match the level of play on the field. At least with the old logo, they actually won more games....

No changes allowed for 3 more years...
The jerseys are fine. But for the love of god, dump that monstrosity of a helmet. Just make it all black and it will be fine.
Or metallic gold?

Freshfootballhelmets on Instagram did a conceptual redo of the Jags helmet. This two-toned helmet concept looks better than the current IMO, but I absolutely hate the 'oversized Bucs-esque' look on it. To tell you the truth, just painting to current helmets all black would make a world of difference for the better IMO.
QuoteDo the Jaguars need an alternate helmet design? See one designer's proposal inside the story
When the Jaguars revealed the team's current uniform design in April 2013, fan reaction was mixed, especially when it came to the two-tone black and gold helmet.
In August of that year, ESPN – in its annual Uni Watch Power Rankings – ranked the new Nike-created design the worst in the NFL – and all of professional sports, saying:
"Worthy of the bottom spot simply by virtue of having what's bound to go down as the worst helmet in NFL history. Like, did they run out of spray paint or what? As for the rest of the design, it's risky to come up with a superhero outfit for a bad team, because superheroes don't look very superheroic when they're on the wrong end of a 37-10 score every week ..."
With a 3-13 season last year, the Jaguars have received plenty of criticism of the team's play on the field. But critics have let up on the uniform design.
Designer Dylan Young of Deeyung Entertainment this week presented new helmet designs for all 32 NFL teams, including the Jaguars. He's pitching them as "alternates" to be used once a season.
Here's a look at his Jaguars helmet design.

The current helmets are awful. Yes, make them all black and be done with it.
One nit to pick on the "alternative" helmet - the teal tongue gets lost in the teal background.
