Title: Ava Parker will be Florida Polytechnic's New Chief Operating Officer

Good for her.  She was reappointed to the JTA board by the mayor (Peyton) in 2011.  Will she resign her position or continue to serve from a distance?

It's up to her. She's also been on the SUS board and has done that from a distance.

It is one thing to serve on a board.  It is quite another to be an employee.

^Huh? Why wouldn't she be able to serve on the JTA board from Lakeland?

oops...thought you meant she could stay in Jax and serve Polytech remotely....bad reading on my part
