Not at all ABC Nightline is doing a story on this tonight at 11:35pm. :D
QuoteAlexander’s recovery is by all accounts a medical miracle. But the real miracle of his story lies elsewhere. While his body lay in coma, Alexander journeyed beyond this world and encountered an angelic being who guided him into the deepest realms of super-physical existence. There he met, and spoke with, the Divine source of the universe itself.
This story sounds like the wild and wonderful imaginings of a skilled fantasy writer. But it is not fantasy.
Somewhat related, I had a NDE, met Michael Jordan, and became a power forward for the Charlotte Bobcats. Does this sound like the wild and wonderful imaginings of a skilled fantasy writer? It is not fantasy. Why would I dream of playing for the Bobcats?

::) ???
So, where does the "proof" part come in?
I've had similar dreams without being in a coma. Flying high above a multi-colored landscape that's hyper real, more defined and vibrant than it could ever be in real life. Feelings of euphoria & dead relatives comforting me.
It does feel other-worldly and who knows, none of us have been dead and reported back on it. But the human brain is capable of generating some pretty intense dreams. I've had preminisions about pending deaths to those close to me, it's nice to think we're connected by some force outside of us, but sometimes, when I think back to those foreshadowing dreams it might've been common sense manifesting itself in the subconscious. IE a relative's sick, etc so it weighs on your mind.
Getting off topic. Either way, i've learned not to rain on people's perceptions of the afterlife. It's hard to prove or disprove either way & it seems to bring comfort to a lot of people.
It's interesting that when people have these afterlife experiences it always seems to be the afterlife they were raised hearing about or believed in.
Just once I want to hear a completely unexpected afterlife. Like a guy born and raised in Texas having a near death experience and being greeted by 77 virgins, or being denied access to Hades cause he doesn't have anything to pay Charon with. Comes back all terrified and carries 2 pennies and an instructional death note about placing them on his eyes for the rest of his life.
Or an old woman has a heart attack and comes back declaring she is a Viking Warrior and praying to Odin.
