Any link to the collapse at The Berkman garage years ago?
The Jacksonville garage was being built by Berkman Plaza 2 LLC, as well as Southern Pan Services Co., Universal Engineering Sciences Inc., Infinity Reinforcing Inc., PTE Strand Company Inc., A.A. Pittman and Sons Concrete Company Inc. and Harsco Corp. dba Patent Construction Systems.

In Miami the companies are different and they are old enough that we're not seeing a 'name change' to hide ghosts in someones closet. Ajax Building Corporation, architects Harvard Jolly, and Coreslab. Appears to be a completely different set of architects, engineers, contractor and sub contractors.
Doesn't appear to be a complete collapse like Berkman was. Still, I'm curious if there was a similar deficiency.

actually, Berkman wasn't a c omplete collapse either....they ended up tearing down the rest of the garage after finding similar structural problems throughout
I thought almost the whole thing went down... other than a few structural members.

If I remember correctly, it was about a third to half of the garage that went down.
^ It's crazy to think how long ago that was.... and still just an empty skeleton of a building remains.
