Hello everyone.
Some of you may have signed letters of intent in the past to help SACARC get the process for a dog park in Springfield underway.
SACARC has since been awarded the grant, and is now ready to proceed on the construction of the park. The need to get all of those commitments in to them as soon as possible so they can get Jacksonvilles first publicly owned dog park built.
If you did not sign a letter of intent, but would like to help turn Confederate Park Playground into a great destination for family's and their pets, please contact them at sacarc@gmail.com.
Thank you!
I would like to help with the dog park, what are they looking for money or labor?
They are currently looking for people who had signed Letters of Intent to pay their committed amount. They have all of their quotes in for fencing and are ready to move forward, but need the money.
They would be more than happy to accept any funds that are offered since they likely wont see all of the committed money from people who signed letters of intent.
There will also be a chance for anyone who wants to volunteer time to work on the park, but I don't have those details yet.

Why do you say they likely won't see some committed funds? Have some folks reneged? I know they will see mine this week

what does sasarc stand for?
springfield animal care and rescue council. that second "s" should be a "c".
SACARC stands for: Springfield Animal Care and Rescue. They take in animals from the streets, get them treated, fixed...foster them and then work on finding them forever homes.
02Roadking,
Its just the nature of the beast. Some people move, some people forget, some people have a change of financial status...
Is it possible to post the plans for this park? Bringing as much attention as possible, would probably increase the amount of money coming in to fund it.
I will email you and the people doing to leg work. I really have nothing to do with this other than cheerleading.
