The other day Lem Blogiver came upon the Berkman Plaza Two and was rather impressed.

I'm still impressed every day with the view of Berkman II from the Big House. It's such a stark monument to the economy next to the grassy knoll with $40K of sod and the developing $150K walkway with pavers and landscaping to the old Shipyard dock.
Good article in the Sunday paper on the projects going on around town. They showed the empty Goodby's creek condos, which have had 3 offers on them over the years with no one closing on them yet. Similar in ugliness to Berkman II.
I guess the want to see if the economy will get better first of if they will fall apart first.

I call that one 'The End of Auchter Place'.

The problem is that it is profitable if you finish all four buildings for the cost to finsh one. The layout is odd and it is post tension. So re-design is limited. Auchter got too focused into condo construction, no diversity. The two condos on the south bank did more damage. The Goodby's creek mistake finished them off.
They were OK with I left them in 95.
