Hello all!
A team of 3 from Jacksonville (2 Hair Stylists and 1 Makeup Artist) made the Top 20 in a national extreme/avant-garde styling event called "Battle of the Strands." With Jacksonville's support (via votes) they can make it into the Top 10 to compete in Las Vegas.
Please take a moment to visit the link and vote. There is no sign-up involved, just click "vote."

It would be GREAT to have little ol' Jacksonville represented in the competition. The competition involves the Producers of Project Runway, Nick Verreos of Project Runway, and celebrity Stylist Kim Vo.
Please share the link on your facebook and twitter...we need all the help we can get. Jacksonville seems slow to support...I'm hoping we can get some people rooting for us.
Thanks!!
Well, we've reached out to thousands of people asking for a few seconds of their time to vote for us to get help us get to the next round of competition...as of now, only 190 people of done so. Totally discouraged.
Other cities are kicking our ass with votes. Why? Because when they asked for votes, people showed their support and actually voted. I've found this to be the constant deal with Jacksonville...little support for one another and low enthusiasm. It is so discouraging, and I can't really figure out why the people in Jacksonville are like this. When I lived in Seattle, everyone seemed to rally around each other and support. If you threw a cool event, people came. If you were in a good local band, people came to see you play. If you opened a great restaurant or small business, people came. You practically have to bleed to get people here in Jax to support like that. It's not for a lack of talent and creativity here, it seems to be just a blasé attitude.
Sorry, that was my rant. Not trying to hate on Jacksonville, but it's a tough place to try and "do something."
ok. i gave you a vote, you are now up to 192!
