Hey Ya'll since last time we spoke the senior JTA guy kept up a constant show of "Monkey imitations and sounds" I just had a funny thought...

Anyone know where Lake and I could rent a couple of cheap monkey suits? Call the news media and have some fun?

This is my first visit to this website and I have learned some, but I have also read a lot of mean spirited JTA bashing.  I doubt very much that a high level person from JTA was making monkey sounds at a public meeting as Ocklawaha suggests.  If this is in fact true, I strongly suggest Ocklawaha immediately contact a higher ranking offical at JTA and report this behavior.  I don't think JTA or any agency would like to be represented by a staff member making monkey sounds.  Nor would they want it suggested that any member of their staff is standing in front of a citizens group acting like a monkey.  Twist the facts, take statements outs of context and bash away, but it is unfair to hide within behind within a blog and make statements like that if it is no absolutely true!

I don't think we've hid.  It's been a whole 48 hours since we've been in front of the City Council's Transportation Committee

I was there that night and the guy was acting pretty silly.  I wouldn't call him a monkey though.  It was more like a clown act.

Tell you what - if you would like to discuss this outside of the site, feel free to join us every Tuesday night.  We meet at around 6-6:15 at the Downtown Starbucks.

Actually I shouldn't have insulted our primate cousins with the "Monkey Comments", KoKo the ape that uses sign language, displays far more reason then the JTA BRT staff did that night. I always thought it was monkeys that grunt, scratch under the arms, wave arms in the air, then scratch their heads... My bad...It's a JTA official!

I have heard they've brought in a couple of new experts to salvage the Boat Transit idea, Introducing Mr. Skipper,  and Mr. Gilligan.
