Title: Texas Judge warns of "Civil War" if Obama is re-elected..
Post by: Pinky on August 22, 2012, 04:21:35 PM
You can't make this stuff up Folks..

Lubbock County Judge Tom Head and Commissioner Mark Heinrich went into great detail Monday night on FOX 34 News @ Nine about why it is necessary to raise the tax rate by 1.7 cents the next fiscal year.

An across-the-board pay increase is needed for the attorneys on the DA's staff to keep them from being poached by higher-paying counties, and the sheriff needs to expand his staff by seven deputies to reduce call response times, minimize officer fatigue and reduce the turnaround time for investigations.

Judge Head said he and the county must be prepared for many contingencies, one that he particularly fears, is if President Obama is reelected.

“He's going to try to hand over the sovereignty of the United States to the UN, and what is going to happen when that happens?,” Head asked.

“I'm thinking the worst. Civil unrest, civil disobedience, civil war maybe. And we're not just talking a few riots here and demonstrations, we're talking Lexington, Concord, take up arms and get rid of the guy.

"Now what's going to happen if we do that, if the public decides to do that? He's going to send in U.N. troops. I don't want 'em in Lubbock County. OK. So I'm going to stand in front of their armored personnel carrier and say 'you're not coming in here'.

"And the sheriff, I've already asked him, I said 'you gonna back me' he said, 'yeah, I'll back you'. Well, I don't want a bunch of rookies back there. I want trained, equipped, seasoned veteran officers to back me."

Ridiculous.  No one will ever invade or come to the US.  Not only because of how strong our military is, but because of all the guns in civilians hands.  Every country, including the UN, knows this.

Nice to see that Texas has gone from executing the mentally handicapped to putting them on the bench.  Progress!

Nothing new here.  Patriot Movement claptrap that's been around since Clinton and I'm sure long before then as well.

Fearmongering if "our guy" doesn't win, plain and simple.

Keepin' it classy, Lubbock County.

No one is talking about an invasion, they are talking about a Civil War.

As for the guns in civilian hands, you are quite correct, in fact they have saved us from invasion before (I'm sure much to some of our posters disgust). I believe one of the Soviet leaders also said something about this during the Cold War but I don't remember the quote.

In a quote usually attributed to: Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto was a Japanese Naval Marshal General and the commander-in-chief of the Combined Fleet, Imperial Japanese Navy, during World War II. Keep in mind the Japanese Army and Navy fought a private war with each other with instances where one refused to support the other. No doubt, the Army likely wanted to invade and launch a blitz down our west coast as they did from China to Malaysia.

"You cannot invade the mainland United States. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass."

Now for another dumb thought? If Obama looses by a thin margin, will we have riots and cries of 'cheating'?

The same can be said about Willard Mitt Romney if they loose by a thin margin? And this Texas Judge is a goof ball at best he has the right to say what he has. But it doesn't make it right!

We'd have claims of hanging Chads as well if they still exist then ;)

Yes everything is bigger in Texas including their idiots.

True that. I know first hand from experience & lived there for a while. Couldn't wait to get out of that crazy shithole.

Its very strange. They have this sort of weird sense of self worth. You know what its like? Its like they're the cool all-knowing big brother who barges in at the party or something, being all brash & loud. But too stupid to realize everyone is laughing behind their back & thinks they're a dork. Thats Texas in a nutshell.

As far as civil unrest, I bet it gives these guys boners just thinking about it so they can all "man up" & use those guns they lovingly stroke every night. Although it could very well happen, it won't be because of Obama getting reelected like they'd like to believe & will tell everyone. This has been in motion for decades & is finally coming to a head.

Why, what an ugly thing to say about Texan's.  And look, I actually know some Texans. Look, darling, Texan's. The richest pack of rats since J.R. was shot. What do you think, darling? Should I hate them? Bunch of hardscrabble cowboys. There's just something about them. Something around their eyes, I don't know, reminds me of... me. No. I'm sure of it, I hate them.

GEOGRAPHICALLY SPEAKING - OKLAHOMA IS ALWAYS ON TOP OF TEXAS!

GO POKES!

Either way, there are going to be a lot of pissed people come November 7th.  Each side will claim the other cheated and that the other guy is the Anti-Christ here to take away all of your freedoms.  I can see the possibility of rioting and or some degree of public discontent.  At the very least, one side will bitch about it without ceasing until at least 2016.  Rush Limbaugh may even lay an egg in fake anger.

Honestly, reading the news just makes me depressed.  It is like we are racing ever closer to the real life version of Idiocracy.  I am just waiting for the day I turn on the TV to watch "Rehabilitation."   It will probably happen first in Texas.

Seems fitting we will have a civil war, after all Joe Biden said he would put us back in Chains. Nice!

Since California is almost bankrupt anyway and of little value, would it be too inconsiderate to give it back to the Pacific Ocean?

California, Texas, New York, and Alaska (Just maybe... Florida and Michigan) are all states that are capable of self-sustaining on its own via GDP IF they were to succeed from the union.

Isn't there another "I thought this was funny thread"??  We're really doubling down on the comedy lately.

If we ever do get to the point of Idiocracy (I saw we're fifty years out), you'll be able to find me at Starbucks enjoying a latte.  Know what I mean? ;)

I will most likely be on the top of the hill away from the battles, sipping my own homemade micro-brewery beer. Just like those folks did back in the first American Civil Wars at the First Battle of Bull Run, but likely get a  much better picture than the high definition of horror / glory movies.

-sniff sniff the foul air- ...wait I need to get out of there.

Sounds like a fantastic plan.  Just as long as you don't end up at Fuddruckers .
