Post by: mtraininjax on August 11, 2012, 08:42:38 AM
Anyone know if John Crofts added anything of value during the 1999-2011 term here in Jacksonville?

QuoteJohn Crofts, former deputy director of Jacksonville’s Planning and Development Department, recently was honored as the state’s top urban planner. Crofts received the award at the Florida Planning and Zoning Association’s state conference in Orlando. Crofts, who now works as a consultant, was deputy director from 1999 to 2011, serving under six mayors.

The award was based on his “significant, innovative and positive contribution to the advancement of sound planning and zoning principles,” a news release said. Crofts prepared and implemented the 2010 Comprehensive Plan along with numerous other neighborhood, district and topical plans and studies.
