Title: Proposed Demolition of 101 East Bay Street - Guaranty Trust and Savings Bank
Post by: Miss Fixit on August 06, 2012, 09:27:50 PM
The following item appears on the tentative agenda for the August 22nd Historic Preservation Commission Meeting:

1.   Proposed demolition of 101 East Bay Street, Guaranty Trust & Savings Bank, Chapter 320.407 per Jacksonville Ordinance Code

The meeting will be held in the Ed Ball Building's 8th Floor conference room.  I believe it starts at 3 p.m. ; this item appears near the end of the agenda.

Anyone know more about this?

Here we go again.

Can't wait to see what awesome new vacant lot will replace yet another grand demolished 'eyesore.' this place really gets depressing after awhile.

^ Yep.  The only thing to do with an old building is tear it down.  Don't spend a few thousand to shore it up or put a roof on it. Bulldoze it.

Saddened, but not shocked at all on this one.
