Good for everyone involved with this event last weekend that put over 900 animals in new homes.
Sounds like it was a massive success.
Loved the photo gallery:

Glad to see this turned out to be a success. My dog is rescue and he is a great!
My cat is a rescue and he couldn't be sweeter. I really do think these animals "know" they have been given a second chance and are deeply appreciative.
What kind of pets do you guys have?
I've got a Yorkie named Charlie.
Wasn't really too excited about a small dog, but my wife really wanted one. Took me all of two days to get foolishly attached to the little fella.

I've never been a small dog fan either, but he is pretty cute.
Ken, for years I said 'I don't like small dogs' or 'I don't want a small dog' or 'I want a big dog'....etc...but once you get near one, day after day, you become hopelessly attached. They're pretty damn cute--just like your Yorkie!

Yeah, when we got him I fully intended to let him be my wife's dog. I planned to give him the occasional pat on the head and get him food and water when he needed it, but I never imagined myself being able to get too attached to a girly little five pound dog. By the second day of watching him follow me around from room to room, staring at me like I was the most interesting person and the world and begging to be pet, he pretty much had me. Now, my wife rolls her eyes when she comes downstairs and we're watching the basketball game in matching Celtics jerseys, or when we both leap off the couch after a particularly intense development on Breaking Bad. I've never had a dog before him, and I never understood people who got so attached to their pets, but man, they really do become like a part of the family.
^ p.s. the Jags jersey is a nice touch ;)
