There are has been a slew of arrest lately. Most recent.. Dez Bryant slapped his mama.. Really? And Lynch from the seahawks got a DUI, but here's the kicker... He license is already revoked from an accident a few years back when he hit a PERSON and left the scence.. WTF really? I dont understand the mindset of these guys. I think it has alot to do with how you are rasied. Sometime people that come from nothing and become instantly rich do not know how to appreciate it nor manage it. This is really sickening. Look, I got in trouble with the law last year. I make $35,000 a year. And you know what? I have NOT gotten in trouble since. I feel I have too much to lose. Why would a freaking millionaire not have the same mind. UGH... thats my rant for today. ;D

I did give it some thought and here's what I came up with:
In the past, prior to the lockout, the teams pretty much reported to camp in April and they 'voluntary' stuff that carried them through to training camp, to pre-season, etc. And when I say voluntary, I mean that unless you were a marquee player, your ass better be there or you'll be looking for a job.
The players had a lot less downtime, which meant they had a lot less time, and probably want, to go out and get hammered being that they know that they have to hit the facilities every day.
Now, it's mandatory that they don't do any extra work at the facilities, so they have a lot more free time and they can hang out more in their hometowns. I usually do more stupid shit when I visit my hometown than what I do on a regular basis here, so it kinda makes sense.
Heres my deal with the DUI's... You are freaking rich.. HIRE A DAMN DRIVER! That is the part I dont get. You have enough money to be escorted around town when you wanna go party, but yet you risk everything you have and get behind the wheel of a car?? That is just plain stupid. Now Blackmon is broke right now so I can understand him not hiring a driver. As he told the cops in OKC, he is unemployed. LMAO That was some funny shit. He was telling the truth though because he does not have a contract yet.

Before your DUI, how many times did you call a cab to take you home when you knew you had too much? Me - 1 out of 10 - and that's usually because the bartender already called the cab for me.
I mean, it's only a $15-$20 cab ride, right? You don't have to be a millionaire to come out of pocket $20 do you?
And that's my point... They're still people who fuck up - just like you and I, they just have longer ATM receipts.
