I love this post, gjoseph.  Pitti is awesome proof that fashion can really make everything come together.  It is way more that what someone thinks to put on in the morning, it is a lifestyle.  As far as vintage-inspired fall trends, I expect to see lace, and whimsical colors.

What's great about this fall's trends, is that the colors and patterns are easily achieved with the same elements of this summer's trends.

These are some predicted colors for the next season.  As you can see, the color of the year is featured as well as pinks, purples, and blue that were shown throughout the warmer months.

Here are examples of the colors paired together:

Lace is also an easily incorporated feature because it's flattering, feminine, and light enough to layer with just about any top.

I absolutely love those dresses MelMel.

Since you addressed Fashion being a lifestyle do you think urbanism dictactes how one dresses?

How does a New Yorker differ from Los Angeles

OR

Atlanta differ from Jacksonville?

Does density/urban living affect overall culture?

What's your take MelMel & MetJax?

Every coast undoubtedly has a distinctive style.  Though both places have a lot of designer competition, New York has more of a city style than LA.  When I picture NY style I think darker colors, business-chic attire, and urbanized.  LA is beachier, sunnier; undone hair, fringe tees, boots and shorts, and bright business suits.

I've met a lot of people in Jacksonville that are from Atlanta.  They usually have a distinct style to me: lots of prints, denim, bold lip color.  A lot of the time, the people I meet look like they spent 15 minutes in a thrift store grabbing as many random prints as they could find, tailored them to fit and wore it all together in a way that looks effortlessly cool.   I'm not sure why the style is so different then Jacksonville though.  Perhaps because even though we're in Northern Florida, we still embrace such a laid-back, southern style.  Living so close to the beach also definitely breaks us away from a more "city feel."  So yes, I'd say density/urban living plays a vital roll in a city's style.
