I never understood exactly why dinosaurs became extinct or how they reproduced.
(1). An asteroid.
At any rate, an asteroid impact is considered one of the causes for the disruption in the biosphere that led to the mass extinction. And not all dinosaurs went extinct; we still have birds, which descended from ancient dinosaur species.
(2). The same way as other creatures.
