Hmm. I'm definitely not used to that style of interview in front of a camera. Too much head movement and too many "ums." Now that I've seen it, it won't happen again in front of the camera.
Nice job. I like how the host said, "True dat!".

I thought it was a fantastic interview. Do you mean that you won't do any more on camera interviews? Or that you want to stay as still as a statue in the next one?
Great job guys.
Lake. I thought you did great..... quite normal and professional. You've been too critical upon yourself. The future will show that the camera is old hat with you.

Ditto Ennis, I got seasick watching myself... maybe it's the voices in my head that were injected in that LONG AGO Canned Heat Concert! Funny thing is on the other interview, there was no movement. weird. I agree, next time, and there will be Lots of next times boys and girls, we'll prefab some more pointed responses to such questions.
We also want to thank the hosts on both shows, they treated us very nicely.
The high point of the morning for both Ennis and myself was back stage at FCN, where another group of guys that were up for an interview were all Battle Of Midway Veterans! We met a PBY patrol plane crew member, a Marine stationed on Midway Island itself and other Navy Men. We had crew members from the Lexington (sunk in the Battle of the Coral Sea) who then transferred to the Yorktown, (Damaged in the Battle of Midway, and torpedoed and sunk by a IJN Submarine after the battle). The USS Hammann was alongside the Yorktown when she was torpedoed giving aid for wounded and fighting fires, the Japanese torpedo spread went right through her, blowing her to atoms. She sunk in a matter of minutes. What a rare treat to get to pick the memories of such heroes.

Congrats guys! Great job!
Congrats to you both for getting this far! The interview is GREAT and an excellent way for people to get familiar with you guys beside MetroJacksonville and other places.
Cheers to a great outcome and future with this book and the great city of Jacksonville!

Thanks. I just did 30 minute interview talking about everything from the book and Jacksonville history to my background and how Metro Jacksonville was formed for the First Amendment Television Show on Comcast Spotlight Channel 99. I believe the show will air, at a minimum, every Thursday evening during June at 10:30 p.m. on Channel 99, Comcast Spotlight. I made sure I didn't sit like a statue or slouch.

Ennis did more than fine at the taping of the
First Amendment television program this morning. He did a great job giving our audience an understanding of the history of this site, his professional development and the origins of the Reclaiming Jacksonville Project. Encourage all of you to tune in this Thursday evening at 10:30 p.m. on Comcast Channel 99 to find out how well he promoted the book, the MetroJacksonville community and life on the First Coast in general. And, comments and criticisms directed at the undersigned host are, as always, welcome.

Doug,
Sorry, no; but, I'm always looking for some tech savvy folks to help me expand the reach.

Bummer! I don't have cable service any longer. Would it be possible to load it on YouTube or vimeo?
You did great, guys. Very engaging. Ennis, you'll get more comfortable with the camera and interviews. Metrojax is going places. You'll have to get used to it!
What's your next book about? Some of the famous people who lived here, and what they did here? I loved the story of Madame Crane you and Stephen told at Restore Jacksonville. The priest who translated Silent Night into English is buried in our old city cemetary. How did that come about? The stories of LaVilla, and how Harlem should be "the Jacksonville of the North."
