Flats all the way! They're just as versatile as sandals but can add a touch of sophistication, depending on the style.
The best part is they are widely accepted for women who don't like wearing heels (like me), and women who don't have the time/money to spend $30 on a pedicure every week (also like me).

I think non-redneck is on to something. Everyone should snap a picture of what's on their feet and share.
I am one who thinks flip flops should only be worn at the beach or pool but during the summer I prefer low profile shoes like vans classics, toms, top siders, etc...
Right now I'm wearing my Adidas Sambas with the short tongues, you can't go wrong with the classics.

MelMel, I almost agree 100% with your statement, but I definitely have the time to get the pedicure just not necessarily the money :-) I will jump on this band wagon though.
For me, there comes a point where flip flops are no longer unacceptable for every occasion (even if we do live in Florida) ; therefore, I agree flats are versatile! They are perfect for every situation during the summer and add a touch of sophistication that will leave a longer-lasting impression. Especially my favorite pair...

The cat, that was my Friday shoe last week. This week I'm rocking my sperry's. My summer shoes are Rainbow sandals, canvas slip ons, and sperrys all the way
Tpc, shoes didn't show up. I had a pair of bright green sambas in middle school. Love me. And, I've always wanted a pair of sperrys but never made the plunge.
