If it's not on your calendar yet, be sure to mark the date of June23rd, from 6-10 p.m. Step back in time to the days of "American Graffiti" when cool guys in hot cars (or the other way around) cruised Main St on a Saturday night. Cars are coming from all over for the night and it's taking on a life of its on. Most all the Main St eateries will be open: Uptown Market, City Kidz, Hola, Wafaa & Mike's Cafe, Kool Beans, and Krystal are all on board. Speaking of "American Graffiti", the movie will be shown in one of the open areas on Main St on a big screen, and a live band is in the works but not yet confirmed. More details are evolving so stay tuned. You'll be able to "tailgate" up and down Main St and watch the cars, see the movie, grab a bite to eat and enjoy the summer night.
This is going to be a great event!
Fabulous local rockabilly band the 77ds are confirmed and will be performing on Main Street during the cruise.

These guys are a great band! They played for us at our last event, and the crowd loved them! Very awesome folks!
Where are 77 ds performing? I read that Burrito Gallery would be offering food. Uptown Market or food trucks an option?
Several local Springfield restaurants will be open. Besdies what's shown below, I've heard there will be a spot for "tailgating" to watch the cruisers.
Outdoor movie on a big screen @ 4th & Main ("American Graffiti")
- Live band @ 4th & Main
- FREE Krystals on Main Street
- Uptown Market, City Kidz Cafe, Wafaa & Mikes, and Hola's will ALL BE OPEN!
- Other fun stuff
Hmmm, live band next to the movie. not sure that is a good plan.
I don't have the schedule or the locations. Maybe the band is first, and the movie second. I haven't checked the Facebook link.

Believe me, we thought that out! The band is on from 7 to 9 or so, then the movie after dark. Band will set up at the cool old service station at 4th and Main, on the same side of the street as Uptown Market. Lots of room for lawn chairs and dancing there.
We're cruising on our bikes - looks like it's going to be a great crowd and a great time!
don't forget to add Kool Beans to your list of where to tailgate. Sam is opening just for this event and plans to have beer available inside and out. He has a big vacant lot next door so there's plenty of room. In case you don't know the location it's the newly painted green house across from Wells Fargo.
