Its nice to know at one time there were jobs and people downtown at some point in this citys history..what the hell happened? I love these photos.

Garden Guy.... what happened was... at least in part,   Mindless administrations allowed all of these amazing places to end up in landfills,  We decided it was the thing to do to build suburban malls ,and mow all of the woods for miles and place subdivisions in place of these. build strip malls on every corner.  Continue doing so for decades .  Today what you see in downtown is the end-result. 

Even as a child , downtown was still somewhat alive.   It is now almost unrecognizable .
