Hello Metro Jacksonville,
I am Andy Leverett, and I will be creating video content for metrojacksonville.com in upcoming weeks with my creative partner Henna Bakshi.
I am currently a business student at the University of North Florida (UNF), and I define myself professionally as a video director/producer. I work daily to take my filmmaking abilities to higher grounds.
I just joined Metro Jacksonville, but I am excited to be a part of this thriving community.
My film work ranges from news segments to music videos, live events, short narratives, commercials, and anything else I feel like tackling. My prior work experience includes film making for the National Park Service, the nonprofit organization Team Gaia, and directing a cooking show called “The Skillet.†The Skillet starred the very talented and lovely Henna Bakshi, and is now regularly aired on the University of North Florida campus channel Osprey TV. I have been producing dozens of short films every year.
I now run my own film and video production company, Miranda Pictures www.mirandapictures.com , founded in Jacksonville in 2010. My production company is full of talented young adult filmmakers and creative media producers. Our workspace exists on computer screens all across the city.
My hobbies include surfing, photography, cuisine tasting, going to the movies, going on dates, and spending quality time with family.
My favorite films are the Aviator, Hot Fuzz, Blade Runner, The Artist, and Amélie
I was born and raised in Jacksonville. I consider myself a North American explorer, because I have been a lot of places on this continent, but have not yet traveled beyond North America. I have been all along the east coast of the U.S., from Boston to Miami (and Key West). I have also visited the Bahamas. I've seen the West Coast from San Diego to Seattle. I've been to several cities in Canada and have even been to Alaska. I still haven't visited Mexico yet. I am working on that.

I look forward to my work with Metro Jacksonville, and being a part of this community.

Welcome aboard.
If you want to go kayaking under the TU and we can cap it off with going under the Duval county courthouse parking lot and take it all the way to Berkman just let me know.
Love for you to add this to your bucket list of places you have been to.
Welcome! :)

And that trip would make a GREAT video documentary. We can hope that it would be the "before" part of a documentary about the restoration project.
Best self-introduction to a forum..... ever?
Welcome.
