Title: St. Augustine Date Ideas
Post by: stephenc on April 09, 2012, 02:18:30 AM
Taking my lady friend down to the Old City. What ideas do y'all have for a reasonable priced dinner? Also want to take her on a ghost tour. Did a pub tour last year that was freaking fantastic but she doesn't drink so I need just an old fashioned tour. There's probably a dozen different ones. What do y'all recommend? Thanks for the help!!

I've never done the Ghost Tour so I can't help you there. As far as dinner, I've had great meals recently at Harry's (especially if it's nice enough to sit outside) and my wife and I frequent Pizzalley's in St Augustine - their garbage can pizza is superb.

Can't help you on the ghost tour either, but I do know two really good restaurants--The Floridian and The Tasting Room.

The Floridian is one of the coolest restaurants in all of northeast Florida. It's all regional styles and locally produced food. Every meal I've had there has been great, and the price is pretty reasonable for what you get. They also have a pretty decent selection of southeastern beers (no Intuition yet, but they have Bold City and Mile Marker.)

I refuse to direct any business to ghost tours, however.
