As we attempt to clean up downtown one of our city's finest is arrested for selling drugs to an undercover police officer. And to make it worse they do it in the parking lot of Burger King then commence to report that it was done there. I dont think they needed to be specific on the location of the deal. I think the report only makes the downtown area look worse. I know the owners of that BK personally, they are good people trying to help clean up the downtown area and then this. It makes them look bad and I feel its unfair. Thanks for letting me get that off my chest.
City's finest as in a cop?
It was a corrections officer from the jail. He was selling pain pills on his break.
Oh, I was thinking a cop was selling meth or something of that nature.
City's "finest"...riiiight
What kind of pain pills?
That is a huge parking lot. There is no way a manager could control what goes on there unless some security guard (fox guarding the hen house) is on duty 24/7.
But the manager or owner could look at obesity statistics and tell staff that a pint of mayo on a burger is a bit over the top.
jump175, i'm not sure what you are saying. should the police not report the location of an arrest or "crime?"
if so, that seems like a very good way to create way more problems.
i agre with wmnussbaum, too much mayo on burger king burgers. if you ever get the bk big fish it's swimming, pun intended, in the tarter sauce stuff.
Jump, drugs are bought and sold in every neighborhood in Jacksonville, so I wouldn't worry about it.
