I knew it.  If Sushi Cafe could move here, I would love that.  However if they did move I don't know why they wouldn't have just sent T-Flats down there.  I guess T-Flats really wanted that corner space.

I think this is good news for that area.  I am sure they will have no problem getting that space leased up by a quality tenant.

Hopefully the new tenant makes use of that awesome patio.

Quizno's really struggles in this market. I know of at least half a dozen Quizno's that have closed in the last few years.

To be honest, their food is pretty terrible. It usually ranges from awful to mediocre. I may eat there once a year and usually I am reminded why I eat there once a year.

It's not just this market-it's everywhere. A close friend of mine works in the franchising industry, and according to him, operations are downright terrible. They can't manage, create, market, or cook good food. Oh well, never liked him.

Not even the most colorful people in Hemming Plaza would eat it? Isn't that one on the corner of Hogan and Monroe still there? If so, City folk must still like it...Didn't Blue Boy shut down their shop there at Laura and Church a while back?

Apparently the franchisees hate the franchisors. Tons of belittling and micromanagement. Makes it very hard to turn a profit. A lot of compliance issues. The one downtown may be (not positive) owned by someone else. That same franchisee may have a better relationship with the franchisor, or business is just that good-not sure.

Dammit man!  Help us out with a link.  I hate doing the work for everyone.  (not really, because I don't have anything better to do right now.)

Is this what the new place down on Park across from European Street, "Alphadogs" is trying to be?

I must defend the honor of Quiznos: No one ever had the peppercorn prime rib or the baja chicken from there? Those are probably 2 of the most delicious warm sandwiches from any chain!

Jimmy Johns isn't even on the same level as a publix sub. It's just the fastness that gets people in and out. That and the delivery i'm sure.

But I digress, the last time I was in the Riverside Quiznos the sandwich maker was hacking all over the food. I never went back after that.

I had the same issue with Quiznos on Beach Blvd, and that was around 2003. I've never been to another Quiznos since then.

I haven't found a better sub place than Firehouse, personally.

A few years ago they had a sub called the chicken carbonara.  I thought it was pretty good- it was the only thing I would eat there.  Then they changed it up and it sucked so I've never been back.  Too many other good sub places around.

Publix is overrated though.

I used to like that chicken carbonara sub, until I got one with some dodgy chicken. So I stopped eating it. But it was the best sub they had, by far.
