Two Gene threads, really? ??? It's not breaking news that Gene is the Jags GM, the poll Gene thread was okay though. One thing is for sure, it's safe the say that BSC hates Gene Smith. Man, I'm so glad that Tebow isn't here! I rather for the Jags to continue to have the online fuel gauge, selling out the stadium at the last minute with real fans, than for legions of fake-ass bandwagoners that will fill up the joint for a couple of years until the eventual fall of Tebow, leaving real fans like many on MJ to fend for ourselves anyway.

I do not hate.

"fake-ass bandwagoners" will not be the phrase of 2012.
I would put it in the top 10,000 phrases in Florida, and Ohio.

Tebow is a great athletic.

Why would you be against a man who is physically, and morally gifted to play football in Northeast Florida?

Pray about it.

^^^Gene Smith not drafting Tebow is OLD news, please get over it. Your boy had the chance to come to the Jaguars anyway, but (luckily for me) he turned us down to play with the NYJ, because they already had the wildcat system in place with the coaches over there; Jax was thinking more of the lines of a limited situational/special teams role for Timmy. Shad Khad was the only reason that Tebow was even considered. So Elway told the truth about Timmy having the choice of which team to pick, and the 'moral' Messiah fibbed because he didn't wanna diss his hometown. If you don't believe me; What in the hell does Elway got to lose by automatically placing (which he didn't do) Tim with the Jets? Answer, nothing. Timmy does have something to lose by dissing his hometown, a few Jag fans (not many because Gator fans are so brainwashed anyway).

HMMM I wonder why the Broncos didn't keep him? He's so great and gifted right?

and clearly that was the right move....Denver traded up in 2010 to get Tebow in the first round...and just unloaded him for a 4th round pick

If good morals determined how well someone throws, we wouldn't need NASA, Tebow could just throw astronauts to the moon.

Unfortunately, good morals don't throw footballs, talent does.

PFT reports that anonymous teammates of Tebow already are complaining about him. Let the NYJ circus begin.

The players have complained about Mark Sanchez too.  He has been in the locker room.  Let Tebow have time with the team. He will win them over.  Just like he did in Denver.  Rex Ryan likes physical football.  Tebow is tougher than Sanchez.  Mark Sanchez's silence since the Tebow deal says a lot about his shortcomings as a leader.

^ if Tebow won his teammates over in Denver, why were they so happy to welcome Peyton Manning to the fold?

Personally, can't believe people are still talking about Tebow. Last I checked, his shit still stinks, and outside of a single playoff win, I've yet to see anything worthy of oohing and ahhing. Get over it people, he's just another guy.

One word - MONEY.

A future Hall of Fame QB who has WON the Super Bowl has more of a chance to get you back to the Super Bowl, and along the way where you can pickup incentive money, than a nice guy who has only won you one lucky playoff game. You stand to make more with Manning as your QB than with Tebow. With the average life expectancy of an NFL player in single digits, you gotta make the money now, while you can.

No starting QB (or Coach) has won a Superbowl on multiple teams - the odds are against them.

True.  Kurt Warner's the only one I know of that's gotten close.
