Right now mine is Bold City's Killer Whale.
I was also wondering if there were any local varieties that can be mixed with cider like Guinness.

My current favorite is I-10 IPA from Intuition. But, I have faves at all the local breweries.
Try making a snake bite (cider and Guinness) with a tart Saison like Green Room's Thai Saison (if they have it on tap right now). Just a thought.
Thanks I am excited I didn't even know about the Green room I will have to look it up.
How is Green room? Only one I haven't been to
Magnum P Rye will knock you on your backside. That is one of my current favorites. I also like The Face from Intuition, but I don't know if they'll keep it in regular circulation. Otherwise I'm pretty easy to please with a good ole King Street Stout.

Green room is alright. The loss of their food truck stunk. They have a great location and a lot of fun things to do in their taproom. As far as the beers go, they aren't my favorite but they had just opened when I was there last. Maybe they have hit their stride and tightened up some of their beers.

Green Room's beers are pretty good. But, they do tend to run on the tame side a bit. I do enjoy them but, when I want to get a wallop I go for the I-10 or a Cigar City brew.
I ran an article on them on my blog a while back, its an older article...

To me it is about availability... from my perspective the only choices that are regularly if at all on local menus is Intuitions Peoples Pale or Bold City Killer Whale... I tend towards the Peoples Pale...
I like trying them all, but I always come back to Bold City's Duke's Brown Ale.
I love Killer whale when I get it directly from the brewery. But every time I get it on tap, it's horribly skunky. Duke's is probably my fav. local brew.

Duke's is definitely a winner. I also enjoy Bold City's Fritz' quite a bit, too.
I-10 IPA in my MUG CLUB MUG, 20oz for the price of 16oz.

I'm all over that, too!
BUD LIGHT!
I third the I-10 IPA. It's good stuff.
I recently tried the Green Room Head High IPA and I thought it was just OK. Didn't blow my hair back or anything. I need to try some of their others.
The Rhino Rye has been my go to for a few weeks.
My favorite, hands down, is Jon Boat from Intuition Ale Works. My favorite Local Beer, and top 5 Favorite beers all together. I can't wait to get it in a can!
I also liked the Riverside Red from Intuition, but haven't had that in a long time.
I-10 from Intuition Ale. Saved from being ordinariness by a little kick.
