Mavericks is a fun place. There is no one there except friday and saturday nights though. Even then its not that busy. Its a good place for all us jacksonvillians to reconnect with our past and get drunk to some good ole country drinking songs.

I think this is the club that was originally going into the spot where the Ivy is now located.

London Bridge is awesome.  It is my favorite hangout in downtown. Granted it looks like a hole, but that is its charm.  It is a hole in the wall with basically down to earth people.  The bartenders are all friendly.

It is usually not very busy.  No one is ever dressed up.  They only serve beer and wine (but they have a great beer selection) and they serve good English inspired items like Cottage Pie and fish and Chips.

Downside, not always too much in the way of cute girls hanging out there.  Granted some come around from time to time, but usually it is just the regulars who hang out.

I am also a big fan of London Bridge... Hence "Bridge Troll"...

I did my time at the bridge from 2002-2006, until Ian & Maryanne mentally dragged me to Springfield.

missed: the random outburst from passengers wizzing down main st.

not missed: hey man i need a dollar.

It's been around for nearly 6 years now, starting to build some history. It's good to see a downtown establishment hold steady in a not-so hot spot for nightlife.

:D Watching the commuters going home is a spectator sport at the Bridge... The panhandlers seemed to have lightened up during Happy hour and seem to be non existant on weekend nights.  I love Ian and Maryanne also... I try and visit every so often at Shanty.  A couple weeks ago they had a Birthday party for Martin (former owner) and Ginger at Shanty... a good time was had by all.  Paul and Karen have made many infrastructure improvements to the Bridge but definately miss Martin and Ginger...

I'm racking my brain...I can't believe those are the only clubs downtown.

I guess The Gaslamp Pub on A Philip Randolph isn't really a club, but then again neither are some of the others listed, so maybe that counts.  The Pearl, 9th&Main, Doozer's Pub and Shantytown are all technically in Springfield.  Sherwoods is more in San Marco than "Southbank Downtown".

My personal favorite is Mark's and then The Pearl.
