1. For my return trip, I will be arriving around 12:30am on Sat morning at Jacksonville airport and will have to take a cab to to to Motel 6(located at 10885 Harts Road, Jacksonville). Anything I need to be careful of as a newcomer? Any cabs which are recommended as more safe for newcomers traveling alone at that hour from the airport? I know the cost might be around 15 but do the rates hike up late at night?
2. I need to go from the Motel 6(located at 10885 Harts Road, Jacksonville, FL) to 10 North Pearl Street, Jacksonville, FL(Greyhound terminal) on a Saturday around 1pm. I notice the CT3 http://www.jtafla.com/Schedules/showPage.aspx?Sel=155 but does it go near the Motel 6(10885 Harts Road, Jacksonville, FL)? Or, is there some other bus I can take?
the cabs at the airport are under contract...their rates are set
as for getting from the motel to Greyhound, try JTA's website...you can put in origin and destination addresses and it will spit out what routes are available
Most any cab should be okay, JIA makes them compete for a 'contract' to operate at the airport so you should have no problem. Note that the Motel is NOT really all that close to the airport, but at least you shouldn't hear the aircraft. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but my own experience in that part of town (all good BTW) has signaled that you probably don't want to wander down Dunn Avenue at 1 or 2 am, looking for a Taco.
On Saturday the CT-1 bus should have you covered, I don't believe the other one makes a stop at Dunn and Monaco. The CT-1 leaves at 1:28 PM and pulls into Bay and Pearl at 2:12 PM. Good luck and WELCOME!
Hope the cab is only 15.00. They are a little steep. In my experience, its around $22.00 for 9 miles.
