Title: Fidelity National Financial to aquire O'Charley's chain
Post by: blizz01 on February 06, 2012, 12:56:09 PM
340 restaurants - that's pretty big; I've always thought that the food was somewhat forgettable; but maybe there will be some new life...

O'Charley's is just another chain, like TGI Fridays, Applebees, or Outback, i.e. not really worth the money.

For you thrify types the best thing about O'Charley's is that kids eat free.

Did Bill Foley lose a card game? When did FNF decide it wanted to go into the business of retail restaurants? Maybe they could have saved Morton's downtown?

Yeah I'm not too sure I get the logistics behind this move either.

Stoney River is the true steakhouse within the O'Charley's family with only 10 locations.  With Morton's out it seems like a no-brainer that they'd consider slotting in a location so close to "home".
