I'm going camping this weekend. I've been to Cumberland Island before and was planning on Little Talbot Island this weekend. The more remote / unique the better. Any suggestions? Thanks!
If you go a little farther afield there's terrific camping throughout the Ocala National Forest.
Not sure how "remote" it is, but I've heard great things about Ft. Clinch's beachside camping in addition to evening candlelight tours of the garrison.
Camp Chowenwaw is on Black Creek just off 17 in Clay County North of Green Cove.

Great place to go camping & canoeing without a long drive.
Everything from primative sites, to tree houses, to fully furnished cabins.
Restoration at Camp Chowenwaw just finished, too. Reposted an article at: http://hykerboyz.com/jaxhikes/2011/09/01/big-cabin-at-camp-chowenwaw/
A remote state park with nice campsites, Suwannee River State Park. In dead of winter you will have it to yourself. Gamble Rodgers park ocean side will be crowded if weather is warm. My favorite Tomoka State Park. Take the canoe/kayak and go up the river.
Have you been to see the Florida Caverns? It's a heck of a drive but amazing to tour the caves and see the bats and limestone formations.
My personally fave is the Black Creek Ravines WMA. Just east of Middleburg on cr 218. There's several miles of trails, nice elevation and scenery change, and right on the creek.

Hey Stephen! Where at do you gain access to the area?...And do you just hike in and find a place to campout?...I've been looking for a good location for some primitive camping myself
