Hey guys,

Can anyone suggest a nice, honest, affordable mechanic in Jacksonville?

Thanks!

Hugh's Automotive in Riverside (on Chelsea St.) has been there for forty years and has a good reputation.  I've used them for some routine maintenance and they were much less expensive than the dealer.

If you have a higher end, non-American car you cannot do better than Overby's on Philips Highway.  They kept my old 356 Porsche running for years.

I've used Rocky's Automotive on Beach, neas Southside for several years.  An honest guy.  Rates are about average.  Usually can get in pretty quick, or schedule repair.  Works on all kinds, and does tires and allignment too.

I can vouch for Mike at 6th and Main. I've only had him do a few small things but I was always surprised by the reasonable price. Very knowledgeable about GM cars.

I can also vouch for Hugh's riverside automotive. Nice staff, affordable and never been ripped off there. I've heard great things about Mike as well from friends IRL.

RPM Automotive on Philips Hwy between Sunbeam and I-95. Phone....904-260-9137

They are not cheap. But every time they fix one of my vehicles it stays fixed.

Thanks guys.

I really appreciate the suggestions!

Mike sounds like the winner!

My wife's car has a coolant leak that I'm having a tough time sourcing. I was afraid to take it to a complete stranger, as I'm sure the first thing they would want to do is blindly change the head gasket.
