QuoteWhat did Rick Scott promise and when did he promise it?
That's the crux of a political back-and-forth between Scott and, apparently, himself after he was questioned again about his "7-7-7" plan to create 700,000 new jobs in seven years either on top of normal growth or not.
The latest bit of awkwardness came Wednesday, when Scott was asked to react to a rating of "full flop" by the St. Petersburg Times' PolitiFact.com.

The background: Candidate Scott said he'd create 700,000 jobs in seven years for Floridians on top of what was expected to be normal economic growth.
Gov. Scott, however, said Candidate Scott never said that.
"No, that's not true," he said in an Aug. 19 interview with the Associated Press, part of a video posted by PolitiFact. "I don't know who said that, so I have no idea."
Fast-rewind to the Oct. 20, 2010 governor's debate with Democrat Alex Sink. Asked about state economists' claims that a recovery would automatically create more than a million jobs on its own in four years, Scott said this:
"So our plans is seven stops to 700,000 jobs, and that is on top of what normal growth would be."

Asked Wednesday if because he said what he said constitutes a flip flop, Scott -- flanked by Lt. Gov. Jennifer Carroll -- shook his head.
What do you think?

It is not a flip flop it was a lie. Just a phrase to help him justify lowering corporate taxes.

Funny, but it shouldn't come as any sort of surprise...

Is anyone surprised?
People who have worked with him say that he is the smoothest, most skilled teller of lies that they have ever seen.
Lied his way into office. NICE!! I personally never bought anything he said from the beginning. That is why I didnt vote for him.
When he couldn't lie he would just refuse to tell the truth. Remember the 65 times he pleaded the fifth.
We are a Republican state. That is our Republican Governor. Makes you proud, doesn't it.
What's remarkable here is that Scott is actually speaking to the media. If it keeps going like this for him, don't expect it to continue.
I'm still looking for my Rick Scott Halloween Mask....(Evil Valdemort) One site just suggested a Skull Mask with a full suit.
If there is a silver lining , it seems reasonable to me now, that Mr. Scott will be a ONE TERM Governor.. I am pretty sure he has done a damn good job of burning his bridges.
